Heavy Equipment Operator

Operate with precision, awareness, and control on civil projects that depend on skilled equipment work.

Lower Mainland, BC
Full-time

About Us

Loyalty is earned, it’s not a mandatory term of employment, and we believe it speaks volumes about METRIC. that people join our team and stay.

Our team is growing and we’re looking for Heavy Equipment Operators who take pride in safe, efficient, high-quality work. Whether you operate excavators, dozers, or loaders, we want people who understand production, respect the crew around them, and know how to keep civil construction projects moving.

About You

You’re an experienced operator who understands that good work is about more than moving dirt. You know how to work safely around people, equipment, utilities, grades, and changing site conditions.

You take care of your machine, communicate well with the crew, and bring a steady, professional approach to the work. You’re looking for year-round work, strong wages, modern equipment, and a company that values skilled people who do things the right way.

About the Role

What You’ll Do

  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Support excavation, grading, trenching, and backfill work
  • Work around utilities, slopes, trenches, and active crews
  • Read and follow grades, layouts, and site direction
  • Complete daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Communicate clearly with foremen, supervisors, and ground crew
  • Help keep projects safe, organized, and productive

A Note About Location

Our head office is in Chilliwack, but most of our work is on jobsites throughout the Lower Mainland. You’ll usually commute directly to site, not to the Chilliwack office.
