Bailey Landfill Expansion
Overview

Delivered a design-build landfill expansion for the City of Chilliwack in collaboration with Sperling Hansen Associates, integrating design development and construction to meet strict environmental and performance requirements. Scope included construction of a fully engineered liner system with GCL, HDPE geomembrane, and geotextile protection layers, along with leachate collection infrastructure and subsurface drainage systems. Work also involved precision grading to achieve required liner geometry, modification of existing stormwater infrastructure, and seamless tie-ins to existing landfill systems. The project was executed through close coordination between design and field teams, ensuring constructability, quality control, and efficient delivery of a compliant, fully integrated expansion.

Integration with Existing Landfill Infrastructure - Tying new liner systems into an active landfill environment required precise coordination with existing drainage, leachate systems, and stormwater infrastructure.
